I had to setup a different application to make a system image ( Luckily WD provides a free copy of an application called Acronis for its customers - however I had to contact customer service to learn about this application and stay told finding this on their support page.
Automatic backup feature will only work while your system is idle.

The good news here is that WD seems this software ships with all their external drive now, so it makes sense / hope that they will fix it and you'll be able to download the upgrade. If you're a Mac or Win7 Ultimate users, you do not need the WD software at all, just use the built-in items.
