If you are a basic user who needs a reliable computer to write reports and web browsing, Toshiba Satellite C55-A5300 15.6" is perfect for you. I am very happy with it after tweaking the settings in windows 8.
The only issue I have with the actual computer is the small space key, but I will get used to It. This is the 3rd windows 8 computer I have set up, and windows 8 Is actually nice once you get it set up. You can look at this purchase like buying a new car. When you first drive it, you have to adjust the mirrors and seats to your liking -- and so it is with this computer.
In several articles, I found a tip on how to increase battery life. The article says, if you take out the battery and put it back in, it will reset the battery and will last longer before it has to be recharged. But if you want to do it, and are still afraid to do it, it's best to take it to a technician and have them do it. It might only take a few minutes.
