The only issue I have with the actual computer is the small space key, but I will get used to It. This is the 3rd windows 8 computer I have set up, and windows 8 Is actually nice once you get it set up. You can look at this purchase like buying a new car. When you first drive it, you have to adjust the mirrors and seats to your liking -- and so it is with this computer.

In several articles, I found a tip on how to increase battery life. The article says, if you take out the battery and put it back in, it will reset the battery and will last longer before it has to be recharged. But if you want to do it, and are still afraid to do it, it's best to take it to a technician and have them do it. It might only take a few minutes.

You cannot install other native software ( or Windows applications ) on Chrome OS. This means that the computer can operate more securely than a Windows machine simply because the computer knows what should be installed. If something is there that shouldn't be there, the computer will erase all local data and install a version of the software that's stored in a secure area. Once you're connected to the internet, you'll be updated to the most recent version of the operating system. As your settings, bookmarks and Chrome applications are stored by Google, they are also restored after the machine is reset and you log in. Unfortunately, the CPU and memory are not sufficient for Windows 8. I am continually getting "low memory" warnings even though I've only got a few applications running, and the computer has crashed a number of times

Short story: Acer Aspire One AO725-0487 11.6" Netbook is a great machine, but get it with Windows 7.

I would recommend this computer to a friend.
