Kindle Fire, do not ever say that this is an "iPad-killer." It is not designed for it. The main purpose of this device is for Amazon to deliver your content more effectively, not like the iPad or even a Tablet in general. But if you do not plan to use Amazon at all to get your media, you may need to consider before you buy this Kindle. One reason why the Kindle Fire is so hyped, it is because the price is low. Kindle Fire was almost the same in my hands as the 3rd generation Kindle, but a bit more weight.
The screen is made of Gorilla Glass, a highly damage-resistant and highly resistant to scratches. Turn on the flame has a high resolution comparable to the iPad 2. Web browsing is very fast. If browsing is slow, maybe you should improve your WIFI, do not complain about the Kindle Fire.

Kindle Fire has a great keyboard that is much better than HP Touchpad. At the bottom there is a headphone port (if you want to use external speakers), micro-USB (for charging and file transfer), and the power button. The Kindle Fire did not come with SD card slot, in this case because Amazon wants you to get content directly from them. It will also reduce production costs.
This Fire has 8GB of storage, enough to hold about 8 download movies, 80 800 songs, or 6 000 books. I filled mine soon so I never checked out of the box, but apparently closer to 6.5Gb as the OS will take some of this stuff. So, please you manage your content, through a Cloud. WIFI is fast and easy to use and the device settings.
