Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799

Ferrari One FO200 slim design, similar to a laptop HP Mini 311, but a little different because it is designed with automotive-style glossy red paint on the lid and wrist rest textured black with the Ferrari logo on the back cover and the far right side of the wrist rest.Styling product is perfect for fans of Ferrari Red. Ferrari One is a laptop machine that is different from large and expensive Ferrari in the past.
This laptop is quite thin and lightweight so easy to carry. It weighed only 3.3 pounds with a thickness of about 1inch, and use a standard six-cell battery.Although thin, but this laptop uses low-voltage CPU Athlon X2 dual-core processors and memory (RAM) 4GB.

Hard Drive - A Little Definition

Hard Drive

Hard Drive

Hard drive is a secondary storage media where data is stored in the form of an integrated magnetic metal on the disk (Hard Disk) that rotates. Currently Oxide disk made of material made with magnetic materials technology (Thin Film).

In a hard disk, there are usually more than one disc to enlarge the capacity of the stored data. Data is stored in a concentric circle, called tracks. And this track is divided into several segments, known as sectors.

In the normal operation of reading data from and write to disk, hard disk uses a device called a head to do it. Head is made with Head photolothografi process is in each dish. Head is the next move looking for sector-specific sector to operate. The time required to find the sector - in hard disk sectors called Seek Time. Once the desired sector is found, then the head will rotate to look for tracks. Time to look for tracks is called Latency. Hard Drive is designed to be used as data storage media in the big capacity. If opened, visible eyes hard disk in tip-handled arm attached to the disk that can spin data stored in the hard disk will not be lost when not given voltage. Usually the hard drive is located inside the computer's internal devices, but now the hard drive can also be installed outside the computer using a USB cable, or who is often called the Portable Hard Drive

In essence, hard drive is a secondary data storage media which has a large capacity and has a read-write speeds are fast.

Random Access Memory (RAM) - The Development, Type, and Function

Random access memory (RAM) is a type of computer storage whose contents can be accessed in a fixed time no matter where the location of the data. This is different from the serial memory types, such as magnetic tape, disc and drum, in which the mechanical movement of the storage media to force the computer to access data sequentially.

RAM is known for the first time in the 60's. But at that moment has not been as popular as the semiconductor memory now, this is because the price is very expensive. It was more common to use magnetic main memory.

Fast Page Mode DRAM (FPM DRAM)
Fast Page Mode DRAM
(FPM DRAM)
In 1987, RAM type FPM (Fast Page Mode) was introduced. This type of memory is the most common form of RAM used in the computer system at the time. FPM also known as DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory). FPM SIMM memory module (Single Inline Memory Module) 30 pin and 72 pin. Then, in 1995, technological developments have produced a new type of memory module is EDO (Extended Data Out). EDO similar to the FPM, EDO only slightly modified to allow sequential memory access. EDO also allows the CPU to access memory 10% -15% greater than in FPM. In 1997, RAM to the type of SDRAM was introduced, and its speed is only up to 66 MHz. Two years later (in 1999), RAM type of RDRAM was introduced with a speed of 800 MHz

Then in 2000, DDR-SDRAM was introduced. This type of RAM is the development of SDRAM, of which this type of RAM has a higher speed than previous types. And in 2004, RAM type DDR2 SDRAM introduced. This type of RAM is the second generation of DDR-SDRAM, although the number of pins in different modules with DDR-SDRAM.

SDRAM DRAM
SDRAM - DRAM
This type of memory (RAM) can be written and read, unlike read-only memory (ROM). RAM is usually used for primary storage (main memory) in a computer to use and modify the information actively, but there are some tools that use some kind of RAM to a secondary storage medium-long term.

DDR - SDRAM

Because the actual nature also Random Access as well as SRAM or DRAM, some people argue that the ROM is another type of RAM. It's just that the process of writing the ROM requires a special process is not as easy and flexible as in SRAM or DRAM.In addition, some parts of the address space of RAM (main memory) of a system is mapped onto one or two chip ROM.

The main function of RAM is for storing temporary instruction-instruction that is used by applications that are running.Instructions, these instructions will stop by itself when something that application is closed.

So, RAM memory is temporary and will stop working if the computer is turned off. Capacitation larger RAM to make the application process run more smoothly.

Caring not Happen To Processor Overheating (Thermal Overload)

The processor is the main brain of the computer. Processor on computers often have problems that should not be taken lightly. One cause of this problem is due to overheating (overheating), so it can make the computer restarts frequently and may die suddenly. So take care to keep the processor temperature, to ensure cooling processor (headsink) and the fan works well.

This - matters related to the processor and need to be considered include :

    • When installing / before installing the processor, make sure the top of your processor thermal paste has been smeared or Thermal Grease, the gel material which serves to remove heat from the processor to headsink. Generally thermal paste available 2 colors, namely white and silver. We recommend using a silver-colored, silver-colored because the quality is better than the white.
    • Select the box / casing which has a smooth air circulation path, so the hardware components inside, including the processor, not heat faster.
    • Tidy up the cables, especially cables ATA type larger and wider than the SATA cable, for air circulation inside the casing more smoothly.
    • For personal computers, maybe you can open the casing cover, for the smooth circulation of air inside the casing is more effective. But maybe not according to the aesthetic value and not unsightly.

Here are some tips on caring for our processor :

    1. Disconnect all power supply or the electrical contacts from your computer and set aside some time for headsink cooler. Then open headsink and fan from the processor.
    2. Separate fan and headsink of processors, then clean the fan with a damp cloth, and clean the crack headsink of dust, or it could be washed with a brush or a soft brush. After cleaning, do not forget to drain headsink and do not there is residual water in the gap headsink, it is very important to avoid short circuit electrical current
    3. Once you are sure is clean, replace the fan with headsink, and attach them to the processor as in the past.

    replace the fan with headsink

It is recommended you do the treatment 3 months, to a computer in an air-conditioned room. And for computers that are in an environment that a lot of dust, treatment can be done more often, maybe every once a month.

So a few tips from us in the care of our computer, especially on the processor. Hopefully writing this little useful for you.
